    Description

    Atlas module
    A
    tlas module
is a driverboard to control 2-axis machines, including IR laserpulse control and Home Limit Sensors.
This Atlas module is initially ment for those who want to upgrade their K40 Chinese laser engraving machine. It'll control 2 BiPolar steppermotors, upto 24V (DC), 4 Amps maximum (5 Amps peek @ 100ms).
If you like to use more powerfull steppermotors, optical limit sensors, different type of control, go for the Atlas module. It contains all kind of handy features, like :
INPUT (direction and step) protected / isolated by optocouplers
LEDs as visual check for INPUT (direction and step)
LEDs as visual check for Limit-sensors (great for adjusting the machine)
LEDs as visual check for laser INPUT
    Use of Low ESR capacitors
    Protection for steppermotors (varistors)
    Connectors for Optical sensors
    Connector for Lasertube Power Supply
    Adjustable microstep-size settings
    Adjustable torque
    Embedded on a heat sink
    Solve extensive and chaotic wiring
And all this, is available at a 50x100 mm (roughly 2 by 4 inches) board, mounted on a heatsink..
    What you get :
    Atlas module
Cabling to wire to external devices (9 pcs)
    Optical limit sensors (2 pcs)
Cabling is all pre-cut to size, are labled at each end, where a jack (*) is assembled. This makes it easier to wire and upgrade your machine. The optical limit-sensors can be mounted by a screw (M3-size) or double sided foamtape. Optical limit sensors require no physical contact and operate extremely reliable.
(*) Only the "X-axis steppermotor cable" contains 1 connector (to Atlas). Various connections are available for a steppermotor, so one end is left without a connector.
