Description
You'll love owning this beautifully restored RCA 45 rpm record player manufactured in November of 1954.The dark brown Bakelite base has no cracks, chips or breaks and has been polished, buffed and waxed to a like-new sheen.
The motor board was completely disassembled, sand-blasted to remove any minor rust or blemishes and then repainted in several coats of Rose Gold metallic finish . The paint has been protected with carnauba wax and buffed to a nice shine.
The motor has been totally disassembled, cleaned and the bearings lubricated to RCA specs. New rubber motor mounts have been installed.
The 2-stage 3-tube amplifier has been serviced with new capacitors, and the tube sockets and volume control flushed with DeOxit contact cleaner. The tubes have tested strong and deliver superb, warm, analog sound to the original 4 x 6" speaker in the front
.
Turntable spindle has been disassembled, cleaned and the bearings lubricated for reliable record changing.
Idle wheel has been rebuilt with new rubber by V-M Audio Enthusiasts for accurate speed and smooth operation.
Rubber on the change cycle wheel has been reconditioned.
All internal parts have been cleaned and lubricated where necessary.
Tone arm has been polished and buffed and a new modern low riding ceramic cartridge bridged for mono, with 0.7mil diamond stylus has been installed to play your newer stereo records as well as your oldie 45s without damage. Tone arm weight has been optimized for accurate tracking yet gentle treatment of your valuable 45 records.
Rubber motor board support cones have been installed to provide cushioning between the turntable and the base.
The original AC power cord is in fine shape.
A color laser copy of the original owner instruction manual is also included at no charge.
As the new owner of this nostalgic gem, I know you'll enjoy putting on a stack of up to 15 45rpm records
and listening to them as they sounded when 45's were first introduced by RCA Victor back in the 1950s. As others have noted, you may occasionally find a record that doesn't drop to the platter properly, but I've included instructions on how to remedy this problem. Rest assured this machine will be carefully cushioned and packed with care to arrive in splendid condition.
