BIC 980 Belt Drive Multi-Play Turntable - Tested/Serviced, Working

Description

This listing is for a BIC 980 belt-drive multi-play turntable in very good cosmetic and functional condition.
The multi-play function allows up to six albums to be played in sequence (or a single album to be repeated up to 6 times).
It has been tested/serviced and is working.
A new Audio Technica AT-3600N cartridge/stylus has been installed.
The single-play and multi-play spindles are both included and tested to work as designed.
The unit is mounted in the WB-20 walnut base and has the smoke-colored dustcover. Both are in excellent condition.
The clear plastic bottom cover was damaged at some point and has been repaired (see last picture).
A copy of the operating manual will be included.
The following outline covers the testing/service done:

The unit was fully disassembled to allow access to the drive mechanisms, speed selector, and multi-play mechanism.
The old grease was removed, and replaced with lithium grease and/or turntable oil.

The return “trip” rubber gasket was cleaned, sanded lightly to ensure traction.
·
The electronic speed control mechanism was set to factory specs and adjusts as expected.
·
The original drive belt was inspected, cleaned and re-installed. It is in very good condition.
·
The dust cover was lightly buffed out to minimize the appearance of scratches and haziness.
·
The wood frame was treated with furniture grade wood conditioner/polish.
·
Cleaning on all exterior surfaces was done to improve appearance.
·
The power cord, RCA cable and ground wire were inspected and are functional.
·
All feet were inspected and replaced as needed.
·
A final extended use test was performed to ensure functionality.

In the event that a claim would need to be filed with the carrier we will assist as much as possible, but it will be the buyer’s responsibility to file the claim locally.
