Description
Here is a restoredd Marantz TT4200 turntable. First, if you do not know what this is or how to set up. Please do not bid. This is from the late 70's or early 80's. It has a plastic case and base like most of that era had. What I did was put a solid America Black walnut wrap around base around it. The back Piece is screwed on. The turntable base has an angle so it slides in from the back. This also has a new dust cover made by my local plastic shop. The original the hinges slid into slots. So I drilled holes in them and put screws to hold the cover like the earlier models had. I also made hinge covers for the dust cover out of walnut to match the base, since these hinges were made to slide into the cover. This table suspension is not in the feet but in the case. So the wood base has no bearing on that. Still fully suspended. This table is a totally automatic turntable. It is a direct drive for speed control but also has a lighted strobe and pitch control if you wish to change speeds. It has dampen cue, repeat, record size, 45 adaptor, and new Audio Techinca cartridge with new stylus and guard. this table is 100% working. It will work when you get it. This table being over 30 years old , no warranty, I do promise not be to be DOA only. Because of the solid wood base, this big. 17 lbs and 18 7/16 wide x 15 7/8 deep x 5 3/4 inches tall. It will be well boxed. You will have to put on platter and adjust the counter weight. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS FIRST IF ANY. There is some rub marks where the original cover was in the front. Very common on these. This one however is very light. You can see them in the pics. Please look close. I do not tell you about every scratch or nick in the product. I take very close up pics of them all . This one is very clean. Not perfect but close. Also its a great sounding table. Not only have I been doing wood working for the past 20 years, and have a complete wood shop will all the major equipment. But I went to school for electronics back in 83 and got a diploma in it and that is what my normal 8 – 5 job is, and have also a personal complete electronics shop with all the test equipment. I am not someone that picked up a soldering iron one day on eBay or read the internet and all of a sudden I am an expert. Its also not what my dad did but what I do. Not living off someone else's credit but It’s what I do for a living. I have been to schools for all the major brands and authorized for most right now
