Turntable powers on, platter spins, strobe turns on,
ground cable is stripped in a few spots.
Tonearm slides manually, won't work automatically on start and when the tonearm is pushed to the right position to play it goes back to rest randomly and turns off the unit. When off is set, sometimes the tonearm won't rest and restart the unit (it loops 2-4 times before it shuts off).
Apparently, the steuerpimpel is worn out and there's a lot of calibration to do with the tonearm.
We couldn't test a record because the stylus broke right on setup, it just popped after hitting the platter (the tonearm wasn't calibrated and the stylus hit the platter when we turned it on the first time, sadly); however, it comes with a Shure V 15 type IV cartridge.
However, there might be more maintenance and/or pieces replacements to be done, that's why there are two videos for you to make a conscious decision before bidding. Aesthetically, the unit is in great, gently used condition. The wood is shiny without any noticeable marks and the dust cover has some minor swirls and/or very light scratches, no cracks. Overall, this turntable looks beautiful.
