    state of North Carolina) 'to be...rather than to seem' and a lot of variations. 4.5" across. A fine, unused bookplate. Likely a wood engraving. You can Google
    Wagener and he and his art will come up. He lives on the west coast.
    Very hard to find him on eBay - the composer Richard Wagner keeps getting
    in the way of eBay searches for 'WAGENER'. We couldn't find any of his bookplate examples.
