This is a raw fleece from an Icelandic sheep named Samson.
It is a beautiful deep black with silver tips and has a 6 inch staple length.
The fleece has been skirted and weighs 2 lb 15 oz.
Icelandic sheep have a double coated fleece with an extremely soft undercoat and strong top coat.
When blended it produces both a soft and durable yarn or felted project.
