Original cover (pictured) changed to removable- with stained and varnished hardwood strips- and stainless fasteners- over cracks from hinge area- a modification which I prefer for open access re-cuing. Excellent in all aspects.Brand new OEM style cover in Acrylite (made in USA) also included- but never installed along with the original hinges (also included) Original owner

    Model DD40- Direct Drive adjustable speed- to be insured and shipped in its Micro Seiki DD40
    cardboard container
    Original Acrylic "Micro" dust cover was changed to a removable cover- stained hardwood
    trim fastened with stainless nuts- over where cracking was occurring at the hinge areas
    (common weakness of these lids)
    Enclosed is a brand new acrylic lid- pictured still in shipping foam, made in USA to install
    with the original steel hinges- for the purist.  (new lid cost 0.00 paid)
    The modified original lid a better solution- for access and constant re-cuing to me.
