Description
This is a new wood base for the Pioneer PL 530 wood version turntable. I make alot of bases and cases and repairs. I made a couple of these. This is for the wood base only, The turntable parts in the pic are just to show you what it will look like. You will get no parts but the base. There made of MDF with real Santos Rosewood on top. Clear lacquer on top. I do not use oils because do you really want to take it apart once a year and oil it. I dont. And I repair them. All cutouts are there however you will have to drill the holes for the front logo, hinges and plate screws on top. There are holes on the inside where the some of the electronics metal to wood screws go. there small pilot holes that were off the original base. So you can use those to line up the electronics and metal parts inside if you wish. It's easier to swap the base then it looks. You will still need a solder iron to desolder the tonearm leads and some mech do have to be taken apart. Take alot of pics if your not sure and I am just an Email away if you got questions. Make sure what your buying here and ask before you drill. Because this is a part an no warranty, once you drill its yours. No returns. I use the original base for all templates and pilot holes, I have done alot of these bases and others, It will fit. The holes that you have to put in. You should predrill them before just screwing into the base. This base is 5 lbs and 18 7/8 wide x 15 3/8 deep x 2 1/4 tall. it will be well boxed in a double wall box with plenty of packing. Any dust you see is yours free. There are 2 versions of the wood base. If yours has the voltage selector on the back. I can cut that out in the base for you. Just have to let me know before I ship. Cant miss it , just look at the back in the middle. Thank you.Not only have I been doing wood working for the past 35 years, and have a complete wood shop will all the major equipment. But I went to school for electronics back in 83 and got a diploma in it and that is what my normal 8 – 5 job is, and have also a personal complete electronics shop with all the test equipment. I am not someone that picked up a soldering iron one day on eBay or read the internet and all of a sudden I am an expert. Its also not what my dad did but what I do. Not living off someone else's credit but It’s what I do for a living. I have been to schools for all the major brands and authorized for most right now.
