    Description

Original painting of the ringmaster/announcer of the Hoxie Brothers Circus, done in 1982. Framed and ready to hang.
Provenance: When Phil Link was 67 years old, he decided to follow a circus and paint what he saw. This painting of the ringmaster was done in 1982. Based on research, I believe this is Roger Boyd, Jr. Mr. Boyd was the sideshow announcer and ringmaster beginning in 1975 until he left to start his own show in the mid-1980s. I can't find a photo of him with a beard, but the hairstyle and his profile look the same as the man in this painting.
    Condition:
Pre-owned, no fading or damage to painting. Light wear to frame. Cardboard backing on reverse has a hole in it, as shown in photo; it does not affect the canvas.
