Description
SCARCE VINTAGE 1970’s EMERSON “POPEYE’S DYNAMITE MUSIC MACHINE” RECORD PLAYER (ELECTRIC/PORTABLE) “KING FEATURES SYNDICATE”, SPECTACULAR POP ART GRAPHICS, dynamic cartoon style later turned into high Pop Art by Roy Lichtenstein and others.Large image of POPEYE with exploding dynamite and cartoon-style lettering:
“SPLAT!” “ZAP!” “BLAM” “POW!” “BOOM!” etc. all in primary colors and with cartoon explosions of color.
Exterior, of course, shows some very light wear and a little mild foxing-type spatter and discoloration.
Interior is pristine and colors are pure and dynamic.
Turntable seems to be plastic, case is illustrated paper on wood.
Two of us happily displayed this in our living room for 30 years or so pretty much as a colorful, fun work of art.
As to mechanical condition, we can only say that when we plugged it in the turntable turned as it should, but we can’t say anything beyond that.
