About Peggy HARRIS
Peggy Harris is an internationally recognized nature artist, designer, writer and instructor. Author of over 11 books, countless magazine articles and digital instruction packets, Peggy is best known for endearing baby animals that feature her unique method to quickly create realistic fur.
Peggy grew up in Kansas City and is a graduate of the University of Kansas with post-graduate work in design.
Currently, Peggy teaches oil, water-soluble oil, and acrylic painting at her studio in the wooded hills outside Nashville, TN and at major painting conventions and group seminars throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Peggy Harris LOVES baby animals. As an inspired wildlife artist and teacher, internationally recognized designer and accomplished TV personality, Peggy’s career spans 20 plus years. She has authored seven best selling books, two of which have been translated into foreign languages, and all feature her unique designs of baby animalPeggy has been the prolific creator of over 100,000 paintings and hundreds of decorative art pieces sold the world over. Her one-of-a-kind designs of baby animals, executed with a singular attention to detail and an unmistakable style makes Peggy’s art cherished the world over.
Her affection for baby animals was subsequently recognized by an executive producer with WDCN, Nashville’s public television station and she was asked to host her own painting show. Peggy Harris’ Paintable Kingdom showcased the artist’s energetic and enthusiastic talents as teacher and painter to a nation-wide audience with over 65 shows to date.
Through the success of Paintable Kingdom came opportunities in publishing with North Light Books and Plaid Enterprises. Works entitled Painting Baby Animals with Peggy Harris, Painting Nature with Peggy Harris, Sing a Happy Song, and Some Bunny’s Stuck on You, are but a few of her treasured books.
Today, Peggy lives with her musician husband, Bob Sanders in the wooded hills outside Nashville, Tennessee. As mother and grandmother, Peggy continues to make time for her passion for painting as well as serving on the National Board of The Society of decorative Painters.
