Vintage Chapman Railroad House Screw Jack No' 10
Patented Feb 23,1886
Measurements are as follows:
Total height (shank screwed all way in) = apprx 10 3/4"
Base width = apprx 5 1/4"
Threaded screw shank = apprx 7" + the top mount/load pad of apprx 3"
Threaded screw shank is apprx 1 7/8" to 2" wide
As for the No. 10 on top and inscribed on load pad; not sure if this is the tonnage limit or
length of screw shank + load pad?
There is what looks like a letter "B" embossed on load pad. No information found.
There is a letter "B" on body, appears hand inscribed.  Possibly an owner marking?
At the base below the handle, there is an apprx 1/2" piece missing (see pic)
