Vintage Rare 1920's Patterson Bros Circus Poster. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Unusual 1920s Patterson Bros Circus framed poster made locally in Ionia, Michigan. The Patterson Bros Circus merged with the Gentry Bros circus in 1925. This is not the usual circus poster. It appears to have been designed and printed by someone in Michigan. We think this event happened in 1922 based on research we did. The prices for children and adults are in line with the prices that year. The clown appears to have been hand drawn and this poster could be silk-screened. The circus was sponsored by a branch of The Elks Lodge that no longer exists. Unique circus collectible.
The frame is modern and was done in Michigan several years ago. Measures 26.5” x 15.5”. There appears to be some mold damage that happened prior to framing. Purchased at estate sale.
