Yamaha YP-D6 Turntable, Ortofon Red, Hickory, Nice!!!.
Direct drive and semi automatic operation..:on board is a “take-off” Ortofon 2M Red cartridge—the cantilever almost appears bent to the right slightly but this tracks fine and sounds very good…I completely disassembled this machine and did a meticulous deep cleaning …removed/replaced old sticky grease…cleaned the pots and switches…lubricated the spindle…added fresh dampening oil to the cueing…added Hickory veneer to the base…and sound/functions tested this for at least an hour or two. Everything works as designed…both speeds dial in nicely. Condition is very nice throughout with minimal defects on the base…the metalwork is clean…the cover is very good with some surface swirling and scratches (no cracks)…all four feet are original and good. Taken altogether this is a very solid piece…is very big and wide…attractive to the eyes and ears…and built Yamaha smart.

I use double walled heavy duty boxes reinforced with foam board in the corners. Believe me when I say I Don’t want transit damage more than you don’t. This is NOT a new machine...as such, it does not come with any guarantee implied or written.
This machine will come partially disassembled. You will need to mount the platter—and the drive belt in belt drive machines—the counterweight..and in some cases the anti-skate weight. DO NOT operate the machine without first properly balancing and setting the appropriate tracking weight. If you do not know how to do this there are tutorials available on YouTube, or you can call me and I’ll walk you through it.
