S59920 Cobra 4-Speed Record Changer
You are bidding on a fully serviced ZenithS59920 "Cobra head" style 4-speed turntable. This record changer  was originally used in higher end Zenith consoles and is a very well built piece of equipment. Note the integrated flip-up 45 RPM stacking adapter in the platter! It has been modified and placed in a custom base for standalone use as a component in any good quality vintage audio system. It connects with standard RCA cables and is powered with a conventional wall plug (see the pics). We have also installed an ADC K8 magnetic cartridge in this turntable for improved sound quality.
This turntable has been carefully tested and is in excellent working condition. Sound output is clear and clean in both channels. The internal mechanical linkages have been cleaned and lubricated as needed for smooth and steady operation. The drive belt has been replaced with a new belt. The stylus has been cleaned and shows no wear under magnification. All automatic tonearm functions have been checked and adjusted as needed (set-down, return, cue, etc.). Platter speed has been checked with a strobe disc and calibrated for proper rotational speed.
Please note that for the best fidelity when playing 78 RPM records with the ADC cartridge you will need to swap in an ADC R78 stylus when playing 78 RPM discs.
Record handling is smooth with a minimum of hesitation. Watching the sensing arm move over and tap the edge of the records to determine the record size is simply fun to watch.
